FFS, this is becoming a saga.

a crumpet is a doughy pancake with a chewy texture.
a muffin is a flattened bread roll

Bottom line is this, mate. Segments of this board find us both boring. That's life.

However, I don't follow your posts by commenting on it (in fact I follow your posts rarely, if ever, because I find them boring.) You do it on a semi-regular basis. Draw your own conclusions.

Follow you around? Don't flatter yourself.

Even your retorts are snooze worthy.

And you really have the ability to follow me around commenting on it (with the added skill of CAPITALS and witty nicknames.)

Your point?

IYAWNS, you really have the ability to suck the life out of any given subject don't you?

But as I asked earlier before someone attempted to derail me, what is the actual difference?

(I agree about cakey muffins, see my post below, but because they have no sugar added, unlike the recipes I am seeing for English muffins or crumpets, "American" biscuits are a wonderful thing with savoury toppings, like gravy. And those "American" biscuits were in England for hundreds of years before what has newly been called biscuits were around and hundreds of years before America for that matter.)

Like both. Peanut Butter on crumpets. Egg and bacon muffins.
